
Jefferson Community and Technical College is comprehensive, two-year college,
and it is the largest in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
Jefferson offers a wide-range of academic and technical programs to prepare students to study for a four-year degree or to enter a career.
The college offers associate degrees, pre-baccalaureate education, diploma and certificate programs in occupational fields; adult, continuing and developmental education; customized training for business and industry; and distance learning.
The college also is the state's largest provider of on-line courses, available through Kentucky Virtual University.
Jefferson was formed on July 1, 2005 , with the consolidation of Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College , two long-standing Louisville-based colleges.
As part of KCTCS, Jefferson offers students more options by allowing credits to transfer across different KCTCS campuses.
